CCCarson County Roleplay

Before You Apply

NEW INMATE'S GUIDE

Carson County is a hardcore prison roleplay server set in 1985. There is no outside world — everyone is either doing time or guarding the people who are. Your character is a person, not a player: they have a past, a reason they're inside, and something to lose. If you want deathmatch, this is the wrong yard, and we'd rather tell you now than ban you later.

The Rules

READ THEM PROPERLY
1No metagaming. If your character didn't see it, hear it, or get told it inside, they don't know it. Discord is not a grapevine.
2No powergaming. Don't dictate outcomes onto other players, and don't do things a person couldn't do.
3Value your life. A shank at your ribs or three men in your cell changes your plans. Characters who fear nothing aren't characters.
4No random violence. Every fight needs a reason your character could explain — a debt, a slight, a war, an order.
5Stay in the era. It's 1985. Payphones, letters, cassettes, cigarettes as currency.
6Realistic names. First_Last, period-appropriate. No Xx_ names, no celebrities.
7Officers and inmates. COs enforce the rules of the facility, not the server. A crooked CO is fair roleplay; abusing CO commands out of character is not.
8No escapes without staff. Breakouts are staff-run events. Don't try to glitch, climb or teleport your way out.
9Take it to the forums. Never argue rules mid-scene. Report it, keep playing.

Death

RARE, AND FOR KEEPS
·Going down isn't dying. Beaten or stabbed, you're injured — someone gets you to the infirmary.
·Player kill (PK). If your character is killed, they survive but lose all memory of the events leading up to it.
·Character kill (CK). Permanent. Only with staff approval or the character owner's consent, and only after real roleplay build-up. A CK'd character is gone for good.

What Happens Next

1.You fill in an application — four questions, written properly.
2.Staff read it. Usually within the day.
3.Approved: you're whitelisted straight away. Fill in your inmate's intake form and join the server.
4.Denied: you'll see why, and can apply again after 48 hours.

One-line answers get denied. We're not testing your typing — we're checking you'll be good company for the people already here.
